Move into your new home with peace of mind. We are proud to offer a robust home warranty with each new home built by Janicki General Contracting. Should you have a concern with your home or would like to schedule a service appointment, submitting a request is simple.

  • Janicki General Contracting LLC (JGC LLC) provides a one-year limited warranty to the original buyer(s) of the home and below are the instructions on how to file a claim. 

    A claim can only be filed by the original and legal homeowner of the property. A paper copy of the JGC LLC claim form can be found in your homeowner’s manual, or the form can be emailed to you by contacting - info@janickigeneral.com.

    The claim must be in writing and received by JGC LLC on or before the expiration date of the warranty and before the work is scheduled and/or performed on your home. The warranty start date is the date the homeowner closed on the property. IMPORTANT NOTE: Ensure that the claim is not being filed on a consumer product that was not provided by JGC LLC on the day you took possession of the home, as these items are not covered under the warranty. All appliances are covered under their manufactures warranty, and the manufacturer will need to be contacted directly for any appliance repair or replacement. There are other exclusions to coverage in your homeowner’s warranty, and a review of the warranty for these details is recommended before filing a claim with JGC LLC.

    Once your claim is received by JGC LLC, you will receive a call from a representative to attain additional details about the claim. If required, JGC LLC may need to access your home at a predetermined day and time to make a further assessment of the scope of the work. They will also determine if the home and covered appliances were maintained properly and if the work outlined in the homeowner’s claim is covered under the scope of the warranty. IMPORTANT NOTE: If an issue arises of an urgent nature, such as a pipe failure or water leakage, please take immediate action for a resolution prior to filing a claim. Please reference your homeowner’s manual for a list of JGC LLC preferred contractors to contact for emergency or urgent situations. As soon as possible, submit a claim to JGC LLC for a claim coverage determination only if the responding contractor disputes the validity of the claim. Include copies of all documents received from the contractor that performed the repair or replacement with your claim form to JGC LLC.

    If the claim is determined as covered under the warranty, JGC LLC will contact you in writing with the decision. The written communication will be emailed to you directly outlining the scope of the work, the JGC LLC preferred contractor who will be performing the work, and the scheduled date and time the repair work or replacement will be done. 

    If the claim is determined as not covered under the warranty, a letter of explanation will be emailed to the individual(s) who filed the claim.
